What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?
The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1. We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review your medical history.
2. We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are prior to beginning camp. The actual measurements (number of inches) don't matter. We want to know how much you improve during the camp. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers and all other information will be held in the strictest of confidence.
3. We will have a brief nutritional seminar with our nutritionist Sara Hill.
Are there showers available?
Yes, we have a locker room, showers, and changing area located in the facility. (Only available at Pineville Lake Park location)
|
Is there an indoor location in case of inclement weather?
Yes, we have a large indoor basketball gym with an indoor track which we use in case of cold, rainy, or any other inclement weather.
Is there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend an entire camp, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your camp start date. However, we will charge a $50 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your camp begins, we can only give you credit towards one boot camp day in the future. If camp is already in progress, and you cannot make a day, you must notify us prior to that day in order to recieve credit. This credit is non-transferable. There is no cash refund. This is non- negotiable.
What is a typical day like at camp?
There are no typical days at boot camp, each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, jumping rope and core training. On special days, you will go hiking and be provided with other fun surprises! It's always an adventure, and you will always have fun!
How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. Remember, everyone is different. It's not a competition, so focus on your individual results.
What will I do after camp is over?
You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and success in the program. Many campers return for a second and even third camp.
What do I need to bring to camp?
You will need to bring one set of 2-8lb hand weights and an exercise mat. We do not recommend yoga mats. You also want to bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in the winter. Dress in a layered fashion....even if it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!
Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It is part of the process that lets you improve!
What kinds of people go to camp?
They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little motivation to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some exercise experience is needed to ensure your safety and a better flow of class.
What is a typical day like at camp?
That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope each week. On special days, we will take a field trip to a different location. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."
